His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II honored the winners today, Tuesday, during a ceremony held at the Royal Cultural Palace in Al Hussein Youth City.

Regarding the initiative, the team—under the supervision of Professor Al-Natour—has carried out over 800 free assessment and therapy sessions for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, as well as auditory rehabilitation and language rehabilitation for individuals with stroke and brain injuries, during the period from 2020 to 2025. The team continues to provide these services to this day. Speech-language therapists and supervisors from the local community and Amman Al-Ahliyya University also collaborated with the group, in addition to volunteer occupational therapists who contributed to some sessions.

In this context, the Dean of the School, Dr. Lara Al-Khleifat, emphasized the importance of this achievement, which reflects the University of Jordan’s mission in promoting the values of volunteerism and conveying the message of the health and human-centered disciplines offered by the School. She encouraged students and faculty members to continue representing and elevating the name of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences and the University of Jordan.

It is worth noting that the award, launched by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince on December 5, 2021, in celebration of International Volunteer Day, aims to promote a culture of volunteerism, motivate the efforts of individuals and volunteer-based institutions, activate societal responsibility among organizations, and recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals and institutions engaged in impactful volunteer work that supports sustainable development.
