The School of Rehabilitation Sciences was established at the University of Jordan in 1999. It began with three departments: physical therapy, occupational therapy, and prosthetics and assistive devices. A fourth department was added to it in 2003, which is the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences. It grants bachelor’s degrees in the four specializations, in addition to a master’s degree. undergraduate students spend 4 years of study during which they must complete a total of 132 credit hours, covering theoretical, practical and clinical topics. The four departments share many of the topics presented during the first year, while in the second year they share some of them, while students spend the rest of the four years In studying topics related to their specializations, with the aim of providing them with the necessary skills that qualify them to become active members in their professional communities. It is worth noting that the School is the first and only of its kind concerned with rehabilitation sciences and bears this name in the region.

In 2012, the School prepared a strategic plan that emerged from the strategic plan of the University of Jordan and worked to implement its provisions within the framework of the renewal of the Schools needs and circumstances.
