Eight scholarships are obtained for laboratory supervisors in the physical, orthotic and prosthetic departments in order to train in Italian Universities for eighteen months and return to work at the University. As well as providing the faculty with staff members from Italian Universities to teach at the faculty. Through the agreement, the laboratories will be equipped through possible loans in addition to granting 200.000 Euros. • Publishing a research in international accredited fields and supporting faculty members in order to accomplish many special research.

The Vice President for Health Faculties and University of Jordan Hospital, Prof. Lamis D. Rajab, met with Lund University delegation who visits the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at UJ in order to activate cooperation between both sides. The Dean of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences, Dr. Ziad Hawamdeh, stated that this meeting tackles various cooperative axes such as faculty member and student exchange, conducting joint research, holding a common scientific conference in the areas of Rehabilitation Sciences. Also, Dr. Ziad Hawamdeh said that this visiting will last for one week in which meetings with faculty members and students will be held in order to review study plans and hold workshops in the field of physical therapy. It is noteworthy that the meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of International Relations at UJ, Dr. Rami Ali as well as the Deputy Dean and Assistant dean of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences.

The "Dhia'a Al Deen Al Sabe'a" was graduated from university of Jordan where achieved his master degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Al sabe'a developed a training program (auditory discrimination in teaching reading and writing), and applying this program on children who suffer from poor hearing and its impact on discrimination of letters in the reading and that by displaying the picture and her/his name and her/his voice.

Decide on Thursday, 07/05/2012 establishment of the meeting of the Academic staff in the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics with Academic staff of the Engineering and Technology department at University of Jordan like; Engineering, Mechanics, Electrical, Chemical, Computer, Mechatronics and Industrial Engineering, with members of the Academic Staff of the Biomedical Engineering Department at the Jordanian Germany University.

Also, the student Mahmoud Ibrahim Alhaggagreh invite Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering" at Jordan University and Jordanian Germany University "Dean of the Faculty of Medical Engineering and Chairman of Biomedical Engineering Department " and Dean of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences and Chairman of Department of Orthotics and Prosthetics.

Also in this meeting was to provide "presentations" for each of the departments in terms of the use of modern technology to find better solutions to the work of Orthotics and Prosthetics are developed and Technology.

 At the end of the meeting was put some teaching materials which can be put to the students in the disciplines in order to increase cooperation and exchange of knowledge between departments in Jordan and the development of the principle of composition of the Group includes the exchange of ideas and knowledge.

A group of delegates from the “Comprehensive Care Organization for people with disabilities” in Sudan have visited the faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Jordan. To get acquainted with the faculty’s experience in preparing and developing an equipped staff specialized in enabling people with disabilities. The delegation included Sudanese Minister of Social Development and the former Secretary General of the Organization, Amira al-Fadil, and a number of executive members of the organization, accompanied by Director-General of the Arab city of comprehensive care in Amman, Abdul Wahab Tarawneh, and the director of business development where Rasmeyeh Al –Helw. The delegation have been introduced, by the dean and the heads of departments of the faculty , to the services offered by the college in the field of rehabilitation. During the meeting the need for further coordination and collaboration between the involved parties has been discussed to achieve mutual benefits.

Under the patronage of HRH Prince Raad bin Zeid, the student initiative "from Amman we begin" on the 18th December, 2013. This initiative is mainly carried out by students from the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences and students with disabilities at the University of Jordan. It is mainly directed at raising the public awareness about disability and the rights of People with Disability (PWD) and to increase the accessibility of the environment for them. This initiative is one of the periodical activities that are conducted under the umbrella of the Community is a Partner Campaign (CPC). In the launching ceremony of this initiative, the ideas of students concerning how the city of Amman can be accessible without any limitations of any of the dreams, aspirations, and activities of PWD will be introduced. Students from all departments of the faculty, and under the supervision of Dr. Wesam Darawsheh, have carried out a campaign in five schools in Amman city to raise the public awareness of disability and the rights of people with disabilities. This activity is one of the activities carried out under the umbrella of the “Community is a partner campaign”. The aim of this activity is to instill positive messages about disability and people with disabilities in the hearts of our children. We believe that he attitude toward disability is an issues brought up by education and upbringing. The activity awareness campaign comprised workshops and lectures, and variety of games and activities. Schools wehre the awareness campaing has been carried out the UM –AL OROOQ school or veins, MOROOJ school, AL-SARH school, AL_ BNAYAAT school , and the Modern Systems School .

Under the patronage sponsored by HRH Prince Mired Bin Raad, the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Jordan have organized a celebration ceremony on Thursday 4/12 / 2014 , on the occasion of the International day for people with disability. Prince has stated that there are continuous efforts by His Majesty King Abdullah II to develop a national strategy for people with disabilities, and to reinforce the efforts of the High Council for People with Disabilities. He pointed out that Jordan seeks to enable persons with disabilities to enjoy a leisurely life, despite the challenges they face in the areas of education and health. The president of the University of Jordan, Prof. Ekhleif Al-Tarawneh, stated that the celebration of this Day is becoming a recognized must by civilized nations that opens the doors of opportunity and hope for all. It is a celebration that emphasizes societal commitment to the rights of people with disabilities in order to actualize principles of justice, equality and equal opportunities and increase rehabilitation services for those who need it. The president added that the University of Jordan is headed towards the provision of support and care for people with disabilities, and the establishment of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences serves as the most prominent evidence for that. The preparation of professional staff capable of exercising their work for the cause of serving, facilitating the way of living for people with disabilities. The ceremony included presenting success stories with people with disabilities who achieved championships, including world champion in weightlifting Moataz Junaidi, one of the people with physical disabilities where he offered his experience in the field of disability and the challenge of achieving his dreams of becoming a global hero.Suhail Al- Nashshash presented his experience as the first Arabic runner with a visual impairment who ran 42 km in the contest and got the first place in the California International Marathon. Also he was the first Arab climber with visual impairment who climbed the highest mountain summit in Jordan, up 6,000 feet. The event also included other activities such as plays, art exhibitions, workshops, and contests and games, and many other activities.

Deputies from the Department of Hearing speech Sciences at the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences had visited, Princess Alia Bint Al-Hussein Center for Special Education on 2/11/2014, and the Perfection Gardens on 29/10/2014, and “Our Lady” of Peace Center on 22/11/2014, to entrench the role of the Rehabilitation Sciences faculty in the realm of community service. Activities during the visit included students, and under the supervision of their instructors, providing initial inspection services of speech and language disorders. Also, lectures and guidance for parents and professionals were given in relation to the specified major. The deputies and theirs students also distributed leaflets that included information about various speech and language pathologies/conditions and ways of dealing with parents. These visits have been organized by the following lecturers: Ms. Wala’a Alakrbawi, Ms. Maha Gatasheh, Ms. and Jihad Al-Arefi.

The program has been found in compliance with WFOT’s standards, which confirms that its graduates are equipped with internationally benchmarked degree
