Course Description :
Through this course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the field of prosthetics and
orthotics, with a focus on the fundamentals of prosthetics and orthotics sciences as a key component of
medical rehabilitation sciences. The course covers the theoretical and historical background of the
prosthetics and orthotics field, emphasizing scientific principles, modern technologies, and their role in
improving patients' lives. Additionally, the course aims to provide in-depth knowledge on general safety
procedures, an overview of prosthetic and assistive device design, their mechanisms of action, and the
