• Course Description :

  ​

  This course covers the different conditions that may affect the foot- ankle complex and

  require orthotic intervention. Students will learn how to assess patients with such

  conditions and how to choose between the different available orthotic interventions. In

  addition, students will learn the biomechanical principles related to these orthoses and

  how to integrate these principles appropriately when treating a patient. Special

  emphases will be given on foot orthoses for diabetic foot. Throughout the course, 

  students' skills in critical thinking, evidence-based practice and decision-making will be
