MSc in Physiotherapy/ Neuromusculoskeletal / Program Overview

Background to the program​ 

The Master of Science programme in physiotherapy/ neuromusculoskeletal is directed to physiotherapy graduates. It includes both thesis and non-thesis tracks. The program aims to provide students with advanced evidence-based practical and clinical skills. It enables students to broaden their perspective regarding the theoretical knowledge, practical and clinical skills in musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy. The program focuses on these specialities since they are the most common worldwide, they result in high direct and indirect costs, and significantly affects function and quality of life.

The program encourages physiotherapists to develop evidence based treatment plans and high quality services for musculoskeletal and neurological disorders and provides the public and private sectors with qualified physiotherapists to cover national and regional needs.​

Vision and Mission​

Vision: Achieve excellence and leadership in physiotherapy practice and research on the national and regional levels

Mission: Provide the public and private sectors with qualified graduates able to take leadership, scientific and teaching roles by providing them with the theoretical knowledge, practical and research skills in musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy which would improve physiotherapy services and develop the physical therapy sector nationally and regionally.

Program aims​

1- To develop the students’ skills in musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy in order to cover the national, regional, and international needs in the private and public sectors and academia

2-  To contribute to the role of The University of Jordan in providing higher education programs with outcomes that contribute to society​
