We have exciting curriculum that covers the theoretical and clinical foundations of practice. We are currently working on a contemporary curriculum that meets the standards of the special accreditation and the World Federation of Occupational Therapy. We expect that this new curriculum will be offered in the fall of 2012. And we will serve this department and faculty in the university of Jordan and will look forward to the day when our fellow Jordanian occupational therapists are fully enabled, and qualified to withstand the significant responsibilities of their career as well as playing an effective leadership role in Jordan and in the region as well.

The department aims to:
1. Providing a qualified and perfect staff clinically capable of needs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the region of therapists from all fields of rehabilitation.
2. Supporting educational activities and research it and encouraged.
3. Providing professional services and specialized counseling for people with disabilities and supply the centers and institutions dealing with this consulting, research, educational and clinical services.
4. The developing the long-term professional relationships with national institutions, local and global relationship through educational exchanges and professional sharing of experiences and skills.
5. Updating the department's curricula to suit with the latest developments in occupational therapy and to benefit from the expertise of faculty members active in this area.
6. Appling basis and criteria for accreditation of local and international.
7. Starting working in the clinic of the department and receive patients to provide proper medical service.
8. Participating in specialized scientific research to develop tests and diagnostic methods and therapeutic.
9. Focusing on scientific research in the specialization and cooperation with institutions and centers of the relationship locally, regionally and globally.
10. Raising the level of interaction with the local community and provide the necessary services to community groups in the field of various disabilities.
11. Developing the technical work to complete the specialist staff through scholarship and courses.

Prosthetics are artificial extensions of the body. They are used to replace body parts that are missing from birth, lost through an injury or disease, or which require removal for medical purposes. Orthotics are orthopedic devices that control, guide, limit and/or immobilize joint or body segment; restrict movement in a given direction; assist some type of movement; reduce forces(weight bearing); aid fractures healing after the removal of a cast; correct the shape and/or function of the body, to provide easier movements or reduce pain.
Our mission is to provide Jordan and surrounding region with qualified orthotists and prosthetists who have the ability to evaluate individuals with various disabilities and provide them with adequate orthosis or prosthesis needed according to their clinical conditions. And to develop and encourage a core of innovative Orthotists and Prosthetists to intensively and exclusively focus on serving and developing the Orthotics and Prosthetics patients and field in Jordan and the nearby countries.

The vision of the department is to apply the criteria for accreditation of local and international, and start working in the clinic of the Orthotists and Prosthetists and receiving patients to provide proper medical service, in addition to participating in specialized scientific research to develop the Orthotists and Prosthetists.

The department of Speech and Hearing Sciences seeks to provide its students with the highest level of education in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology. It targets qualifying students with adequate professional experiences and skills to provide children and adults, with wide range of communication disorders, with assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services.
 
Our master's program in Speech-Language Pathology is the only program in the Middle East. Students hail to the program from all over the region. Upon leaving the University our graduates enter the clinical, teaching, and research fields competently.

The department of hearing and speech sciences seeks to provide an academically rigorous program that educates students to have the essential academic knowledge, clinical skills, and reflective practices that enable them to enter the professions of speech pathology and audiolgy. Most importantly. the program aims at preparing students to become continuous learner to improve the quality of services to children and adults with communication disorders, and to become their adocates in Jordan as well as in the entire region.

The goal of the department of Physiotherapy is to prepare physical therapists with adequate knowledge, skills and attitudes required for entry into the profession. The graduate should:
• Demonstrate knowledge of the theoretical basis of physical therapy.
• Integrate knowledge of basic sciences and physical therapy in order to modify treatment approaches.
• Have adequate clinical training and practical skills.
• Have basic and applied research and ethical principles needed for his profession.
